Teach Love jihadis a lesson: BJP MLA Sangeet Som asks youths to follow tit-for-tat policy (VIDEO)

“We must be ready to respond in the same language… the police will do what they have to do but we cannot wait for the police action,” Sangeet Som said, sparking off controversy.

New Delhi: Sangeet Som, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday urged youths of the Hindu community to ‘awaken’ and follow tit-for-tat policy to counter the ‘menace’ of love jihad in the country.

Sangeet Som’s remarks on love jihad comes days after Uttar Pradesh CM publicly warned that those indulging in love jihad should be ready for ‘Ram Naam Satya journey’.

In a video statement, the BJP MLA strongly condemned the incidents of love jihad and asked youths of majority community to teach love jihadist a strong lesson by ‘giving it back in the same language’.

“We must be ready to respond in the same language… the police will do what they have to do but we cannot wait for the police action,” Sangeet Som said, sparking off controversy.

“Danda Uthao ya joota but teach them a lesson,” he said in an interaction on the social media.

He also cited Allahabad High Court and said that we can’t keep endlessly waiting for police to probe love jihad cases.

The firebrand Hindu leader has often landed in controversy over his controversial pro-Hindu statements.

He also came down on Congress and Samajwadi Party for their silence on Nikita Tomar case.

“It is only because the accused belong to a particular community and these parties do not want to lose their votes,” he said.
