New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday tore into Congress leaders for freely using abusive words in the poll campaign & in turn ‘lowering the public discourse’. Giving a strong retort to Kharge’s Ravan jibe at him, PM Modi said that Congress leaders are mocking ‘Rambhkats’ of Gujarat and they will suitably be ‘rewarded’ for insulting the pride of state.
PM Modi, on a campaign trial in Gujarat, recalled the ‘Ravan’ remark by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge & also ‘aukat’ comment by another senior leader Madhusudan Mistry and said that Congress leaders are in a competition mode on ‘who can abuse Modi more’.
“The competition is on who can abuse Modi more, who can deliver the most stinging attack,” PM Modi said at a public rally in Gujarat’s Kalol.
Hitting out at Congress leaders, PM Modi said that Congress party never believed in Lord Ram and always doubted the existence of Ramayan.
“Those who never believed in the existence of Lord Ram have now brought in (demon king) ‘Ravan’ from Ramayana. And, I am surprised they never expressed repentance, forget about tendering an apology, after using such cuss words for me,” PM Modi said in a scathing attack at Mallikarjun Kharge.

While slamming the grand old party, PM Modi also referred to Madhusudan Mistry’s remark in which he said that the Assembly elections will show Modi’s ‘aukat’.
Mallikarjun Kharge while addressing a rally in Gujarat on Tuesday had said, “PM Modi always talks about himself. We have to see to your face in civic polls, MLA & then MP election. Do you have 100 faces like Ravan?”
PM Modi is campaigning for the second phase of the Assembly election slated for December 5. Polling is currently underway in 89 seats of the state, in the first phase of Assembly elections. The remaining 93 seats will go to polls in the second phase.
