New Delhi: In the run-up to Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the estranged chacha-bhatija have decided to bury their differences and come together for a collective fight against the incumbent BJP govt.
Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday met his uncle at the latter’s residence and after a marathon meet decided to form a united front.
However, there are reports of a tie-up and not the merger of Shivpal Yadav’s party into the bigger Samajwadi Party. Speculations were rife that uncle would dissolve his party & merge with Akhilesh-led party but this didn’t happen.
#बाइस_में_बाइसिकल pic.twitter.com/x3k5wWX09A

Akhilesh Yadav himself took to Twitter to announce the alliance with Shivpal Yadav’s Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party.
As the election season hots up in poll-bound UP, Samajwadi Party is gaining momentum and has been stitching alliance with smaller parties to put up a strong front against Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government.
