VIDEO: ITBP constable pays melodious tribute to ‘Disco King’ Bappi Lahiri [WATCH]

New Delhi: Social media is flooded with condolence messages since the news of the demise of veteran singer-composer Bappi Lahiri broke. Political leaders, Bollywood celebrities, as well as Netizens also expressed grief on the passing of the ‘Disco King’, who left for his heavenly abode on Tuesday night.

Bappi Lahiri passed away at the age of 69 in Mumbai’s CritiCare Hospital. His doctor Deepak Namjoshi informed that the hitmaker died on Tuesday night due to multiple health issues.

An Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) constable also paid a melodious tribute to the legendary singer, composer by singing one of his popular song Dil Mein Ho Tum from the 1987 movie Satyamev Jayate. 

The ITBP shared the video of soldier singing the song from their official Twitter handle, with the caption, “Constable Sovan Banerjee of ITBP sings to pay tribute to the legendary music director, composer and singer Bappi Lahiri”.

Not just that, the soldier in the video can also be seen breaking into the Bengali version ‘Chirodini Tumi Je Aamar’ which was composed by Lahiri for the Bengali movie Amar Sangi.

Meanwhile, the cremation ceremony of singer Bappi Lahiri will take place on Thursday morning, his family confirmed.
