New Delhi: Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, MoS MEA V Muraleedharan, BJP leader RP Singh and others received the Swaroop of Shri Guru Granth Sahib that arrived from Afghanistan along with evacuees, at Delhi airport.

Here is what HS Puri said:
Union Minister HS Puri said, “I want to start by thanking PM who made it possible to carry out these rescue ops to bring our brethren who are in difficult circumstances there (Afghanistan). Arrangements also being put in place for the remaining people. We’re in constant touch with them.”
“I want to compliment the MEA, EAM S Jaishankar and MoS MEA V Muraleedharan for having implemented this,” said Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
Where will it be kept?
The three Sri Guru Granth Sahib will be taken in a procession to Guru Arjan Dev Ji Gurdwara in the New Mahavir Nagar area of Delhi.
Over 75 people, including 46 Afghan Sikhs and Hindus,were evacuated from war-ravaged Afghanistan on an IAF plane.
Hundreds of Indian nationals have to be taken out of Kabul which is now under the Taliban’s control. India is airlifting its citizens through Dushanbe in Tajikistan and Qatar. The Indian Air Force has already evacuated around 180 passengers including its Ambassador to Afghanistan and all other diplomats.
