‘Who is biggest Panauti?’: BJP leader takes searing jibe at Rahul over party’s victory in 3 states

As Congress prepares for big drubbing in 3 states, BJP leader CT Ravi took a jab at Rahul Gandhi, apparently in reaction to latter’s mocking remarks against Prime Minister.

New Delhi: The Assembly election trends predict a landslide victory for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in three out of four states. In Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan government is set to return with a bang while party’s likely triumph in Congress ruled Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, by a big margin, has even left the poll watchers baffled.

Poll pundits, in general, saw likely return of Bhupesh Baghel & Ashok Gehlot govts on back of series of populist schemes & freebies rolled out by respective Cong govts.

As Congress prepares for big drubbing in 3 states, BJP leader CT Ravi took a jab at Rahul Gandhi, apparently in reaction to latter’s mocking remarks against Prime Minister.

Ravi took to his X handle and asked ‘Who is real Panauti?’ and tagged the tweet to Rahul Gandhi and Congress X handle.

The caustic jibe by BJP leader comes on back of Rahul Gandhi’s taunt on PM Modi during a recent election rally.
Rahul Gandhi addressing an election in Rajasthan’s Barmer had termed Narendra Modi ‘panauti’ (bad omen) and held him responsible for Team India’s loss against Australia in the World Cup final at Narendra Modi Stadium.

“Ache bhale hamare ladke waha pe World Cup jeet jaate, par panauti harwa diya,” Rahul Gandhi had said.

Following Rahul’s jeering remarks at PM Modi, the BJP took strong offence and trained guns at the party as well as Gandhi scion. BJP asked Rahul to resign for ‘grave offence’ and also complained the matter to Election Commission.

The BJP complained to EC that such remarks were ‘unbecoming’ of a leader of his stature. Following this, the poll panel had issued a showcause notice to him & sought response from party.
