New Delhi: Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal made headlines after he bought India’s first Aston Martin DB12 Sports car. He has also shared his passion for cars in a Podcast and said, “I am passionate about cars and it’s not just me, it’s everyone. Jaise Zomato ka founder hain Deepinder, sabse zyada shauk usko tha. Jab bhi uska round raise hota tha uski nai sports car aa jati thi toh hum bade chidte the (Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal was obessesed with cars. He would buy a sports car every time he got a round of funding and we would get a bit annoyed because he would get to ride luxury cars).”

About Deepinder Goyal
Deepinder Goyal is the Co-Founder and CEO of Zomato in India. He was born on 26th January 1983. He hails from Muktsar, Punjab. His Mother and Father were teachers. He completed his graduation from IIT Delhi in 2005 with Maths and Computers. He has worked as Management Consultant in a company in New Delhi. While working in the company, he noticed the demand for menu cards among his colleagues. This encouraged him to start his own venture and he started Zomato.

He started his own Food start up in 2008 with a name ‘Foodiebay’ and later renamed as ‘Zomato’ in 2010. His colleague Akriti Chopra helped him in building the company and was later elevated as the Co-Founder of the company. According to reports the Net worth of Deepinder Goyal is over 2200 crores.

He is married to Kanchan Joshi whom he met during his college days. She was pursuing her MSc in Mathematics and both of them started liking each other and came close. They decided to get married and is blessed with a baby girl.
