New Delhi: In a major development, Yogi Adityanath government on Saturday transferred District Magistrates (DMs) of 8 districts over unsatisfactory performance in their respective regions.
According to reports, the outgoing DMs have put on waiting list while the newly appointed DMs have been told to take charge on immediate basis.
In these 8 districts, repeated complaints were being received by the CM’s office, following which action was taken. In Sultanpur, MLA Devmani Dubey in a written complaint had alleged irregularities in purchase of oxymeters and demanded removal of DM C Indumati while in other districts also, complaints were received regarding laxity in fight against Coronavirus, reports said.
The big administrative reshuffle was effected after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visits to these districts and review of the developmental works in these regions.
List of new DMs of 8 districts:
According to news agency UNI, these new District Magistrates have been appointed in 8 districts, who will replace the outgoing ones.
Meerut – Purvanchal Power Distribution Corporation MD K Balaji will take charge as Meeurt DM
Etawah – UP Medical Supply Corporation MD Shruti Singh will take charge as Etawah DM
Sitapur – Special Secretary Vishal Bhardwaj will take over as Sitapur DM
Lalitput – Special Secretary, Namami Gange Dinesh Kumar will take over as Lalitpur DM
Ghazipur – Secretary, Lucknow development Authority Mangla Prasad Singh will take charge as Ghazipur DM
Mau – Vice-chairman, Meeurt Development Authority Rajesh Kumar Pandey will be new Mau DM
Sant Kabir Nagar – Vice-chairman, Bareilly Development Authority Divya Mittal will be the new DM of Sant Kabir Nagar
Sultanpur – Existing DM of Sant Kabir Nagar, Raveesh Gupta has now been moved to take charge of Sultanpur
