New Delhi: The Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI) on Monday announced squad for the upcoming tour of Australia.
India will be playing 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 4 Test matches against Australia.
India will be touring Australia in a bio-secure bubble in November where they take part in ODI, Test and T20 matches after conclusion of the ongoing IPL 2020 campaign.
This will be Team India’s first international after the COVID-19 lockdown. Home series against South Africa was called off midway after the pandemic outbreak.
Rohit Sharma, who is currently battling with a hamstring injury, has not been picked in any of the three squads, with BCCI saying that their medical team will continue to monitor his progress.
In Rohit’s absence, KL Rahul has been named the vice-captain for India’s ODI and T20I squads. In fact, he has also been picked as the wicket-keeper in the two formats
