Cricketer Yuvraj Singh arrested in Haryana over his casteist remarks against Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuvraj reached Hisar with his lawyers to join the investigation after the order of the High Court. After a few hours of interrogation, Yuvi left for Chandigarh.

New Delhi: Cricketer Yuvraj Singh was arrested in Haryana’s Hisar district over his casteist remarks against Yuzvendra Chahal. A case is registered against Yuvraj in Hansi city police station.
Last year, In a live chat with Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj was accused of making derogatory remarks against the Scheduled Castes targeting Yuzvendra Chahal.

However, he was immediately granted bail in this case and has been released on the orders of the High Court.

Yuvraj reached Hisar with his lawyers to join the investigation after the order of the High Court. After a few hours of interrogation, Yuvi left for Chandigarh.

Yuvraj Singh was accused of using derogatory and objectionable words against the scheduled caste society. Dalit rights activist Rajat Kalsan filed a case against him in Hansi police station city under various sections of the SC-ST Act and IPC.

Yuvraj had approached the High Court to quash the case, after which the High Court had restricted police to act against the crickter.
