FA Cup Quarter-Final: Man. City vs Everton preview and prediction

City are also the favourites to seal a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup as they travel to face Everton in the last eight on Saturday.

New Delhi: Premier League leaders Manchester City face Everton in their quarter-final of FA Cup this weekend in their quest to win trophies on four fronts this season.

Pep Guardiola’s sit at the top of league table with a formidable 14-point lead, they are set face Dortmund in the Champions League quarter-finals and then they will play the Carabao Cup Final against Tottenham at Wembley on April 25.

City are also the favourites to seal a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup as they travel to face Everton in the last eight on Saturday.

The visitors have won their three games since their stunning 28-game unbeaten run ended in the Manchester derby earlier in March. City came out as comfortable 3-1 winners in their last visit to Goodison Park last month.

Everton faced a blow to their hopes of finishing in the top four after losing against Chelsea and facing a shock defeat by Burnley.

Everton has not reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup since 2016.

Injury News

Carlo Ancelotti will have to field third-choice goalkeeper Joao Virginia against City with normal No.1 Jordan Pickford not available with an abdominal injury and deputy Robin Olsen is also injured. Everton are also missing Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez, as well as fellow midfielders Fabian Delph – formerly of City – and Jean-Philippe Gbamin.

Guardiola, on the other hand, has no new injury concerns and has the luxury of a fully-fit squad to choose from.
