New Delhi: Team India started its T20 World Cup campaign on a good note, winning first two matches of the tournament in a row, before faltering in the third encounter against South Africa.
India thrashing Pakistan in a nail-biter game gave the audience the goosebumps while Virat Kohli’s power play against arch-rivals made for a must-watch.
However, India’s top batting line-up has failed to fire and has been a matter of concern since the beginning of T20 World Cup. KL Rahul is yet to play a good knock while Rohit Sharma’s bat hasn’t done what he is expected to do in shorter formats of game.
Rohit Sharma’s repeated flowshow has been a matter of concern. In today’s match, he got out just for 2 runs. He faced 8 deliveries on the crease but ended up with a meager 2 runs on board.
In match against Pakistan, Rohit scored just 4 runs, in match against South Africa, he scored 15 runs. His only good show was against Netherlands where he scored half-century.
Before the World Cup also, the 35-year-old cricketer hasn’t been in good form. In the tournament against South Africa, he made a total of 43 runs in 3 T20Is.
However, the leading batter didn’t draw much attention for his poor show. But, after he got out for 2 runs against Bangladesh, Twitter went into an overdrive and netizens started sharing hilarious memes & jokes.
