India vs Pakistan: Congratulatory wishes pour in after India defeats Pakistan in ICC Women World Cup 2022

India won the ICC Women’s 50-over World Cup against their archrival Pakistan on Sunday in New Zealand’s Bay Oval stadium.

New Delhi: India won the ICC Women’s 50-over World Cup against their archrival Pakistan on Sunday. The match was held in the Bay Oval in New Zealand’s Mount Maunganui.

Following the win, fans flooded the social media accounts with congratulatory messages for women in blue. Among the admirer, cricketers such as Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina, VVS Laxman, and Virender Sehwag tweeted their views.

India won the match by 107 runs. The whole team of Pakistan was bowled out for 137 in 43 overs. Captain for the match, Mitali Raj won the toss and decided to bat first. In the match, Smriti Mandhana and Pooja Vastrakar’s half-centuries helped India to accumulate 244 runs in their fifty overs.

Notably, Sneh Rana and Jhulan Goswami contributed with two wickets each and helped India bundle out Pakistan for 137 runs.

Pooja Vastrakar was made the player of the match for scoring 67 runs off 59 balls.

Admiring the performance of India against Pakistan Sports Minister Anurag Sing tweeted, ”#TeamIndia WIN !!! Superb performance & spectacular start to the World Cup! Congratulations Team, well done!”

Virender Sehwag expressed his love for the win saying, ”What a spectacular performance by the Indian girls against Paksitan. That was a thrashing and in grand style. Pooja Vastrakar with a valiant inning, the ever so reliable Sneh Rana’s great all-round show & Rajeshwari Gayakwad outstanding with the ball.”

Suresh also congratulated the ”Indian women’s team on an outstanding win against Pakistan today. What a great start to the #CWC22. Way to go girls!!”

Sachin Tendulkar shared tweets on the win and he expressed his love for spinners and acclaimed the partnership between Sneh & Pooja.
