Morris, who is known as a prolific wicket-taker, is also reported to be the costliest player at the IPL auction. He was bought by Rajasthan Royals at a whopping INR 16.25 crores in the IPL 2021. Notably, his international career was not in a good shape due to his fitness issues.

During his cricket career, Morris played 69 international games for South Africa, including four Tests, 42 ODIs, and 23 T20Is. The South African all-rounder made his debut in 2012, playing against New Zealand.  He played his first ODI in 2013. Before the announcement, he played his last cricket for the country in the ODI format in England in July 2019.
