New Delhi: The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) hosted the annual felicitation ceremony, also known as the BCCI Awards, on January 23, in Hyderabad after years of gap.

The BCCI Awards, which were first presented in 2006–07, are an annual celebration held by the country’s cricket governing body, the Board of Control for Cricket in India, to recognize and reward exceptional players from the previous year.

At the glamorous ceremony in Hyderabad, where it was revived in 2024, members of the Indian cricket team both men’s and women’s, were there to hear the announcement of the winners of every award for the previous four years.

Notably, one of the biggest names that were missing during the ceremony was the Indian batting virtuoso Virat Kohli.

However, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma did not let the fans feel Virat’s absence as he was seen imitating his signature wicket celebration in a now-viral video.
