Saina Nehwal, HS Prannoy test corona positive in Thailand

New Delhi: Saina Nehwal, HS Prannoy has returned positive in the third Covid-19 test in quarantine in Bangkok, Thailand.

Both the players have been asked to isolate in a hospital for a minimum of 10 days by the organisers. Both the players have been withdrawn from the tournament.

Though, BAI made no mention of Parupalli Kashyap, Saina’s husband, the Indian shuttler too gave a walkover to his Canadian opponent Jason Anthony Ho-Shue, thereby bringing an end to his participation at the Thailand Open.

Recently the player had raised concerns over the fitness of the athletes after physios and trainers were restricted from meeting the badminton players during the entirety of their Thailand tour.
