New Delhi: From Anil Kapoor to Abhishek Bacchan, multiple bollywood celebrities took to twitter to pour their well-wishes to Mirabai Chanu, who grabbed the first medal for India in 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The 26-year-old Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu clinched a silver medal in women’s 49kg category in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics. She lifted a total of 202kg (87kg+115kg) to become the second Indian weightlifter after Karnam Malleswari, who won a bronze in 2000 Sydney Olympics, to win a medal for the country.
Bollywood celebraties who earlier wished for the Indian contingent participating in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics during the opening ceremony in the Japanese capital on Friday, are now cheering for India’s first medal.
