VIDEO: Snake halts 2nd India vs South Africa T20I in Guwahati Stadium, netizens guesses why it showed up

Initially, South Africa all-rounder Wayne Parnell spotted the snake and later Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul were seen baffled by it

New Delhi: In a bizarre incident during a live international cricket match, the second T20I between India and South Africa came to a halt as a snake entered the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.

The incident took place when India had completed the seventh over of its innings and several players on the fielding side noticed the snake crawling on the green grass of the ground and approaching the pitch.

Initially, South Africa all-rounder Wayne Parnell spotted the snake and later Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul were seen baffled by it while chatting with each other. As the match came to a stop, the groundstaff intervened and took the snake out of the field with help of sticks and a bucket.

A twitter user named Prateek Pratap Singh shared the clip with caption, “Snake also reached to watch the cricket match of India and South Africa at the stadium in Guwahati”.

Meanwhile, the incident has invited various creative reactions from netizens as many of them relate the sanke with India’s arch-rival Pak, while others guessed the reason why it could show up in between of a live match.
