Who is Sohail Khan? Pakistan cricketer making rough remarks at Virat Kohli & Umran Malik

While Kohli’s records speak for himself and Umran drawing all-round attention with his fast bowling, the Pakistani cricketer remained in denial and rather took potshots at both, in a recent conversation on Nadir Shah podcast.

New Delhi: Pakistan cricketer Sohail Khan is drawing flak from all quarters including the cricketing community over his rough & snide remarks on former Indian skipper Virat Kohli and now India’s pace sensation Umran Malik.

While Kohli’s records speak for himself and Umran drawing all-round attention with his fast bowling, the Pakistani cricketer remained in denial and rather took potshots at both, in a recent conversation on Nadir Shah podcast.

Speaking to the YouTube channel, Sohail said that there were many like Umran in Pakistani team and there was ‘nothing special’ about him.

Sohail said this when he was asked whether the likes of Umran will cross the break Shoaib Akhtar’s bowling pace record.

“Iske (Umran Malik) jaise toh bohot hain. Domestic cricket bhari padi hai hamaari. (Our domestic setup is filled with bowlers like Umran Malik). When a bowler comes through in our domestic level, he becomes a bonafide bowler. Like Shaheen, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf… these are bowlers who know their stuff. I can give you plenty of names,” Pak cricketer said.

Umran Malik

It may be noted that Umran, a recent entrant in Team India, is proving his mettle with his incisive bowling. The 25-year-cricketer usually bowls at a pace around 145 km/hour and in a recent match in white ball series against Sri Lanka, he bowled at a speed of 156 km/hour. Such bowling earned him appreciation & admiration from many sporting legends & followers.

Sohail’s shocker irks Kohli fans

In an earlier conversation, the Pak cricketer also lashed out at Virat Kohli and recalled a conversation in which the two had verbal exchange.

The incident happened during 2015 World Cup match between India and Pakistan.

“Virat came. He said to me, “You are a newcomer & you speak so much. I said, “Son, when you were playing Under-19 for India, your father was a Test player.” Misbah got angry at me and intervened. He told me to keep quiet,” Sohail told the Nadir Ali Podcast.

The Pakistan right-arm pacer in line of fire and is getting battered by Kohli’s fans, ever since he made public the objectionable conversation. Many Kohli fans took to the social media and excoriated the Pak cricketer for abominable behavior on field.
