New Delhi: WhatsApp, the widely used messaging network owned by Meta, is updating with a new feature that will significantly alter the way we forward messages. The current beta version of the Android app from WhatsApp introduces a new feature that simplifies the process of creating new groups.

WABetaInfo reports that in version 2.23.16.3 of the WhatsApp beta, users will be able to forward messages to a new group and create that group at the same time.

The beta version of WhatsApp 2.23.16.3 for Android is now available for download from the Google Play Store. According to WABetaInfo, not only does the update make it possible for a wider audience to try out the UI changes brought about by Material Design 3 and the new design of the security alerts screen, but it also adds a whole new function.

Message forwarding and group creation are both streamlined by the ‘Forward to New Group’ option. Users who have signed up to be beta testers and upgraded to beta version 2.23.16.3 of the app may see a new ‘Create Group’ icon on the forwarding screen. Users may invite people they know to join a new group by pressing the ‘Create Group’ option while sending a message. Select the recipients you want to include in the group and the message will be sent to them immediately.

According to the report, not only does this function help users save time, but it also gives them a great chance to form groups based on events or messages that motivate them to reach out to particular connections.

So, if you are curious, try forwarding a message; if the ‘Create Group’ icon is present on the forwarding page, the user has access to this new feature.
