New Delhi: Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, a Khalistani separatist, and terrorist, was born in Moga. Amritpal Singh claims to be his disciple and is dubbed “Bhindranwale 2.0” by his admirers. According to sources, Punjab police got information that Amritpal Singh was in Rode village and that the fugitive preacher was compelled to surrender since he realized he was encircled on all sides. He was transported to the Dibrugarh jail in Assam, where eight of his companions are currently in custody under the National Security Act, which allows for imprisonment without trial for up to a year.
