New Delhi: On Tuesday Delhi service Amendment bill has been introduced in the Lok Sabha. The bill aims at who will be given the power to have control over the bureaucrats of the Capital city. This controversial bill aims at replacing the ordinance which gave the central government power to have control over Delhi’s bureaucrats, thereby overriding the Supreme Courts’ judgment favouring the elected government should have the authority to transfer and appoint Delhi’s bureaucrats. Earlier an ordinance was promulgated which gave LG power to appoint and transfer the bureaucrats of Delhi but on May 11 the Supreme Court handed over the power to the elected government of Delhi.
