Filmmaker Kumar Sahani passed away in Kolkata Hospital

He was born in 1940. He won the best Filmfare critics award in 1972, 1990 and 1991. He won many awards for his contribution in the Indian cinema.

New Delhi: In an unfortunate news coming from Hindi Film Industry, noted Filmmaker Kumar Sahani has passed away due to health related issues. He was undergoing treatment in West Bengal’s AMRI hospital. He was admitted in ICU after his condition deteriorated. Despite giving all the best treatment, doctors were not able to save him. He breathed his last on Saturday at around 10.25 pm. He was born in 1940. He won the best Filmfare critics award in 1972, 1990 and 1991. He won many awards for his contribution in the Indian cinema. He directed films like Kasba, Tarang, Maya Darpan, chaar adhyaya. Apart from being a director, he was a great writer also.
