New Delhi: While addressing the nation from the ramp of the Red Fort on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Vishwakarma Yojana for small-scale workers. PM Modi said that the central government will make a budgetary allocation of Rs 13 thousand crore to 15 thousand crore to help small-scale workers like Barbers, tanners, blacksmiths, and many others. On the occasion of Vishwakarma Pooja next month, the government will launch the scheme. Days after that a Cabinet Meeting was held on Wednesday, and the scheme was approved by the cabinet Ministers during the meeting. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced the approval of the scheme by the cabinet through a press conference.
