WATCH: PM Modi leaves for Japan to attend the G7 Summit in Hiroshima

New Delhi: Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi today left for Japan to attend the G7 Summit in Hiroshima. This will be PM Modi’s three-nation visit during which he will also be visiting Papua New Guinea and Australia.

For the G7 Summit, India has been invited as a guest country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to unveil a bust of Mahatma Gandhi in Hiroshima.

On Friday (May 19), Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra said on that there is a plan for Quad leaders meeting in Hiroshima.

Befor his departure, PM Modi released a statement said that his presence at the G7 Summit is particularly meaningful as India this year holds the G20 Presidency.

This year, the G7 Summit will be held in Japan’s Hiroshima from May 19-21.
