Who is S. Somnath, chairman of ISRO and the mind behind Chandrayaan 3 (Video)

Before becoming the ISRO chief  Somnath also worked as the secretary of the Indian Space and Research Organization.

New Delhi:  India is going to create history today by becoming the first nation to land its spacecraft on the south pole of the moon. The mission is going to take place under the chairmanship of ISRO chief S. Somnath. After the completion of the tenure of previous ISRO chief K.Sivan, S Somnath was given the responsibility. Before becoming the ISRO chief  Somnath also worked as the secretary of the Indian Space and Research Organization. Somnath completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Kerala University and did his post-graduation from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, and now has taken over as the chief of India’s third lunar Mission Chandrayaan 3.
