New Delhi: The heart of Delhi Connaught Place is famous for its lavish market and  beautiful architecture. The  place was built during the British era by Robert Tor Russel with the help of W.H Nicolas. The name Connaught was given on the name of the British Royal family members Duke of Connaught and Strathearn. The work to built the place was started in the year 1929 and took almost five years to complete it. The model of Connaught place is built in resemblance with Royal Crescent and Roman Colosseum. But after independence it became the center of economic and cultural activities and is considered as one of the most expensive market places in the world. Know who owns this place now?
