Elon Musk shares his plan to end Russia-Ukraine war, Zelensky condemns

Lithuania’s President Nausėda took a sarcastic dig at Tesla chief as he replied, “Dear @elonmusk, when someone tries to steal your wheels…”

New Delhi: Tesla chief and billionaire Elon Musk came up with a ‘peace plan’ to end Russia-Ukraine war via Twitter on Monday, and faced immediate criticism from Ukraine nationals. Further, Musk’s tweet had Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky come to the fore and condemn the latter with a Twitter poll of his own.

Actually, Musk had proposed elections in the 4 regions of Ukraine, for which Russia moved to annex last week after a so-called referendum, under the supervision of United Nations. The polls were denounced by Kyiv and the western nations as illegal and coercive.

The latter asked netizens that Crimea, which was seized by Moscow in 2014, be officially acknowledged as Russia and that the water supply to the region be assured, while Ukraine remains neutral.

“Let’s try this then: the will of the people who live in the Donbas & Crimea should decide whether they’re part of Russia or Ukraine”, he wrote and offered the users to opt for ‘yes’ or ‘no’ in his Twitter poll.

Responding to this, Prez Zelensky came up with a poll of his own with caption, “Which @elonmusk do you like more – one who supports Ukraine, one who supports Russia”.

Lithuania’s President Gitanas Nausėda took a sarcastic dig at the Tesla Inc chief executive as he replied, “Dear @elonmusk, when someone tries to steal the wheels of your Tesla, it doesn’t make them legal owner of the car or of the wheels. Even though they claim both voted in favor of it. Just saying”.
