New Delhi: After 20 years of staying sidelined, the Taliban has reared its ugly head and taken seize of the country. While Kabul streets are full of mayhem and turmoil, foreign nationals are in a tizzy to leave the country.
Making matters worse, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani has already fled the country, leaving the militants run amok. Several videos have emanated from the country which are utterly heartbreaking and scary.
People could be seen running on the tarmac along with the plane while many others scrambling to get on the plane, in whatever way possible. A couple of them also fell in a residential locality while the aeroplane was flying out.
Perhaps one of the saddest images we have seen so far from #Afghanistan. pic.twitter.com/R8GxXoQ3Fg

Taliban diktat on Afghan women
With Talibani gaining control of nation, Afghanistan women are among the worst affected. Taliban has already started implementing its diktat and imposing harsh restrictions on women.
Women are not being allowed to go to market without a male escort. Days ago, a couple of girls riding in rickshaw in Takhar province were stopped and lashed for wearing “revealing sandals”.
The insurgent group is already known for its regressive rule.
