New Delhi: Actor Dhirav G recently starred in Pascal Vedamuthu’s latest Tamil film Veppam Kulir Mazhai.
The rural drama hit the big screen on 29 March 2024 and now, nearly half a month after its theatrical release, Aha Tamil has announced that they will soon make the movie available for streaming on their platform.
Although the digital giant has not disclosed the exact OTT premiere date of the Ismath Banu starrer, trends suggest that fans will get to watch it on the platform by 1st week of May 2024.
However, it is crucial to remember that viewers will require a subscription to any of Aha’s premium plans for watching Veppam Kulir Mazhai online on the platform.

During its run at the Box Office, the movie-buffs and critics received the rural drama movie with mixed reactions.
While a section of the audience lauded the makers for courageously highlighting an extremely sensitive social and domestic issue in Veppam Kulir Mazhai, others claimed that the movie failed to do justice to its topic with the writer’s approach being impractical for the most part.
Nevertheless, with the flicker just days away from hitting Aha Video, it will be interesting to see if the film manages to impress the OTTians by performing decently on digital screens.
What Veppam Kulir Mazhai is about?
Set in a rural south Indian village, Veppam Kulir Mazhai is the story of a married couple Petthaperumal and Paandi who remain childless throughout the first 5 years of their marriage.
This raises several eyebrows in the locality and within no time, the duo finds themselves getting constantly trolled, insulted, and demeaned by fellow villagers, including their relatives, who leave no stone unturned in mocking them for being unable to conceive.
Succumbing to the family and societal pressure, the couple finally gives birth to a child only to later realize that they have made a mistake that will further complicate their happily married life. What happens next & how the duo overcomes their challenges is the remaining story of the social movie.
