83 movie fizzling out after good opening, Monday BO collection at mere Rs 7.29 crore

New Delhi: Ranveer Singh starrer ‘83’ has reached over Rs 50 crore at the Box Office after the fourth-day run. The movie earned Rs 54.29 crore after completing its first Monday at Rs 7.29 crore. Kabir Khan’s directorial opened at Rs 12.64 crore. The collection at the Box Office hasn’t fallen equally to the hype it created not only before the release but also before the Covid era.

With the kind of excitement teaser and trailer created in the audiences plus the massive promotional campaign that the film did, the movie was expected to touch at least Rs 100 crore at the Box Office by the end of its opening weekend. However, the wave of Spider-Man: No Way Home and the surprising popularity of Pushpa: The Rise Part I, hit ‘83’ hard.

  • Friday: Rs 12.64 crore
  • Saturday: Rs 16.95 crore
  • Sunday: Rs 17.41 crore
  • Monday: Rs 7.29 crore

On the other hand, Spider-Man: No Way Home is making a great landmark at the Indian Box Office at it is running fabulously even in its second week.

The film continues to attract audiences, despite several releases even those who are not MCU’s fans. Besides, Tom Holland and Zendaya starrer Spiderman have created a strong fanbase in India. The film is running at Rs 179.37 crore (net)  after 12-days of its release at the ticket window. The film earned Rs 4.45 crore on its second Monday following Rs 26.85 crore on its second weekend at the Box Office.
