New Delhi: The much-anticipated first song from Karan Johar’s upcoming film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, titled “Tum Kya Mile,” has been released. This love ballad showcases the sizzling chemistry between Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.

Director Karan Johar took to social media to share the mesmerizing song, which pays homage to his beloved late filmmaker, Yash Chopra. Shot amidst the breathtaking mountains of Kashmir, the visuals portray Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh immersed in a passionate romance. Experience the magic of the song here:

Drawing inspiration from Yash Chopra’s legacy, Karan Johar expressed his thoughts on the song’s creation, stating, “At the very onset, my instinct was to film a love song that would unabashedly pay homage to my guru Yash Chopra… The thinking evolved mind would say, ‘You can’t match it or even dare to emulate it,’ but the fanboy and ardent lover of snow, chiffons, the stunning locations of Kashmir, and sheer romance got the better of me.”

Karan also expressed his gratitude to Vaibhavi Merchant, the choreographer, who brilliantly captured the essence of the song and brought it to life. Being a Yash Chopra admirer herself, Vaibhavi’s dedication and passion added an extra layer of authenticity.

Furthermore, Karan shared the behind-the-scenes experiences of the lead actors. Alia Bhatt, who embarked on this shoot soon after the birth of her child, displayed her professionalism and commitment. Karan humorously apologized for freezing her in Manish Malhotra chiffons, acknowledging the challenging weather conditions they encountered during the shoot. Ranveer Singh, on the other hand, tackled his first-ever lip-sync mountain love song with nervous anticipation, proving his mettle as a versatile performer.

“Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani” marks Karan Johar’s directorial comeback after a hiatus of over six years. The film is set to release on July 28, promising an enchanting tale of love. Alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, it features an esteemed cast including Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi.
