New Delhi: Celebrating her 29th birthday, Alia Bhatt treated her fans by introducing her character Isha for her upcoming movie Brahmastra on Tuesday. The 29-year-old actress will be seen playing the role of Isha in the movie opposite her rumoured boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, marking their first collaboration onscreen.
Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to share a 31-second teaser where she is seen in different avatars – bubbly, chirpy, glamorous, fearless, and determined. As the clip starts, the actress is seen holding Ranbir Kapoor as they are surrounded by fire. In the next few seconds, different avatars to Alia are unveiled. At one point, she is seen at a temple while at another time, she is seen wearing a red saree with smiles on her face. Another shot shows the actress being shocked by a ball of fire on someone’s hand, most probably Ranbir Kapoor.
At the end of the video, Alia is seen shielding herself from a blast, running frantically and looking at Ranbir as fire around them intensifies. The clip ends with Alia starring at the sky all alone.
Sharing the clip on Instagram, Alia wrote, “Happy Birthday to me. Can’t think of a better day and a better way for you’ll to meet Isha… Ayan my wonder boy. I love you. Thank you! #brahmastra.”

Filmmaker Karan Johar shared the first look of Alia Bhatt in Brahmastra. Taking to Instagram, he wrote, “My darling Alia, There is so much love that I feel for you while I write this but also so much respect – respect for your immense talent, your incredible growth as an artist and your ability to be so real through all the beats of your life! 10 years ago I didn’t know that one day I could proudly call you my very own Brahmāstra…my weapon of love and of abundant joy…”

Amitabh Bachchan who is also a part of Ayan Mukerji’s upcoming film shared the poster and wrote, “Happy Birthday to the Light of Brahmāstra… Isha! Alia will play the character of Isha, girlfriend of Ranbir’s character Shiva in Brahmastra. The movie will also feature Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy and is set to hit the theatres on September 9, 2022.
