Amitabh Bachchan denies reports of being tested -ve for Covid-19, terms it ‘incorrect, fake’

The 77-year-old actor is in Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital with COVID-19 – he was admitted on July 11 after he tested positive for the coronavirus.

New Delhi: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Thursday dismissed media reports that he has been tested negative for Covid-19 and is awaiting discharge from hospital.

Amitabh himself took to Twitter and dubbed the news report as ‘fake and irresponsible.’

Big B along with his son Abhishek Bachchan were admitted to city’s Lilavati hospital after both showed Coronavirus symptoms and tested Covid positive in the tests.

Amitabh pens thoughts in Covid ward

Amitabh, however, kept the Twitter buzzing with regular posts and messages.

This was his tweet, posted two hours ago.

Last night, the megastar penned down his thoughts of staying in a Covid ward.

“Confines have a destiny… this confine of mine has one too… what it shall eventually be, destiny shall find decision… there may be wishes and hope and expectation… but the destined has ever overcome obstacles of existence… it shall God willing for this too… many may wish to replace the Almighty and shield themselves in their own vanity. Good… good to possess the strength of this,” read an excerpt from Mr Bachchan’s post.
