ED summons Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Panama Papers case: Sources

News reports hinted at the possibility that megastar Amitabh Bachchan too may be called in to record his statement.

New Delhi: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been summoned by the central agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Panama papers.

The actor will reportedly appear before the agency today for interrogation. The agency wants to interrogate her over allegations of stockpiling wealth abroad.

The sources tell that the ED officials have already prepared a list of questions to asked with the actor.

The agency is probing the Panama Papers case for quite some time now. About 500 persons including businessmen, Bollywood celebs, politician and more are believed to be involved in the case.

Aishwarya Rai had been summoned earlier too for questioning, but she had sought time twice before.

Her husband Abhishek Bachchan too had reportedly visited the ED office last month. Bachchan is believed to have handed over some documents to the ED officials.
