New Delhi: Senior entertainment journalist and film producer BA Raju passed away on Friday due to a cardiac arrest. His son Shiva Kumar shared the news on Twitter with a post, “With extreme sorrow & grief we would like to announce the untimely demise of our beloved father Shri B.A.Raju. He passed away due to sudden fluctuations of diabetes & cardiac arrest. May his Soul Rest In Peace. Dad Be A “Raju” Forever because You are a “SUPERHIT” in Our Hearts.”

Starting his career as a film journalist, BA Raju became a film producer in the Telugu film industry. His debut film as a producer was Premalo Pavani Kalyan in 2002 and afdter that he went on to bankroll movies like Premikulu, Chantigaduand Premalo Pavani Kalyan.
His sudden death has left the entire Telugu film industry shocked and in grief. Celebritiess like Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, Samantha Akkineni, Jr NTR and SS Rajamouli gave their condolences on social media:
