‘80 Vs 20’ means ‘positive vs negative’: UP CM Yogi

Slamming the opposition, the CM remarked that the people of the state used to suffer because of the politics of appeasement done by the previous governments.

New Delhi: In an interview on Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath responded to his ‘80 vs 20’ remark saying that 80 percent are those who are of positive thinking, who have faith in nationalism, good governance, and security. The remaining 20 percent are those who sympathise with the mafia, rioters, and terrorists and oppose the development of the state.

Taking a jibe at Akhilesh Yadav over his remark on dreams of Lord Krishna, the Chief Minister said that Lord Krishna must have cursed them for instigating riots in the state when the government was formed. He also lambasted the SP chief for his allegation of taking credit for development saying, “Like Lord Krishna is coming in dreams, similarly he must be dreaming of development. It’s their remorse that they didn’t do any development work.”

Making a fierce attack on the Congress party, the CM further said that on one hand, Congress was obstructing the revival of Somnath temple and on the other hand it was implementing Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. “It was Congress who had called Lord Ram and Krishna a myth. The Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samajwadi Party were supporting them.

Those who got the doors of Ram Mandir closed and did not let people enter the holy premises are now going to the temple, he added.

Slamming the opposition, the CM remarked that the people of the state used to suffer because of the politics of appeasement done by the previous governments. Akhilesh Yadav insulted Sardar Patel by glorifying Jinnah on the latter’s birth anniversary. “There is no place for Jinnah supporters in this country.”

In a Sarcastic remark on Owaisi, the CM said that Owaisi is worried about what will happen when Hyderabad becomes Bhagyanagar. ‘Mujhe Owaisi ke certificate ki koi zarurat nahi hai’.

Hindutva is a way of life: Yogi

Yogi Adityanath said that Hindutva is a way of life and it is our cultural identity. “I am proud to be a Hindu. India is secular because Hindus are in majority here.”

Mounting a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi, the CM said that his ancestors used to call themselves ‘accidental Hindus’. He is an advanced version of this. If his party does not take his words seriously, then why will the public take them? The allegiance of the opposition is questionable.

The CM termed the lapse in the security of the Prime Minister as a conspiracy, as well as demanded its exposure. The Chief Minister described the Lakhimpuri incident as unfortunate. He said that the opposition wanted a class struggle, but the government and the people did not allow it to happen.

Picchli Sarkar aur Hamari Sarkar mein Fark Saaf Hai

The CM said that the difference between the previous government and our government is clear. He said that before 2017, faith was played with, the cases of criminals and mafia were withdrawn, and daughters were insecure. Faith is being respected in our government and we showed zero-tolerance against crime. Uttar Pradesh is moving towards development. He said that our target is to make UP the number one state.

Tsunami of nationalism to come up in 2022: Yogi

The Chief Minister said that a tsunami of nationalism would come in 2022. The Samajwadi Party is going to fail. They were dreaming of a victory even in 2019. SP, BSP, and Lok Dal fought unitedly against the BJP and were badly defeated. The same is going to happen this time as well.
