New Delhi: Tablighi Jamaat chief Maualan Saad, who was in the eye of storm over gathering of thousands at Nizamuddin Markaz has resurfaced. The Islamic preacher was spotted in CCTV footage while he went to a mosque to offer prayers at Abu Bakr mosque in the city.

According to Delhi Police sources, Maulana Saad attended Friday prayers at the mosque in Zakir Nagar and was accompanied by around 20 people. He was captured on camera today.

Maulana Saad to face the law

Delhi Police has launched an investigation against Maluana Saad after High Court said that the congregation at Nizamuddin Maraz was responsible for spreading of Covid-19 to about 4,000 people in the country.

He has already been booked under the Epidemic Disease Act 1897 for organizing a religious congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi between March 13-15.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also booked him in a money laundering case.
