New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has congratulated the people of state for the accolade it received from World Health Organisations (WHO) for successful management of Covid-19 pandemic.

He said that the appreciation by WHO proves that state government implemented its Covid containment strategy in effective manner. CM Yogi also credited Prime Minister’s guidance for close and effective monitoring of Coronavirus.

CM Yogi said that many countries are going through second wave of Covid-19 and in the backdrop of this, a high level of alertness should be maintained and availability of ICU beds should also reviewed.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to strengthen the Covid-19 management strategy by enhancing contact tracing and beefing up surveillance system. He called for sustained contact tracing as before and also called for testing people coming from other states.

CM Yogi said that working with complete coordination, the Team-11 has given better results and the pace of its work should be continued in the same manner. Directing the Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC) to keep operating with full capacity, the Chief Minister said that the role of ICCC is very important in preventing the spread of Covid-19. He also instructed officials to conduct Covid-19 testing on random basis.

The Chief Minister also issued directions at high-level meet to ensure that farmers don’t get harassed. Directing to implement effective system at paddy purchase centres so that farmers should not wait to sell their produce, the CM said that arrangement should be made to issue slips to them. He also said to ensure that the farmers should get their payments within 72 hours.

CM also directed to assess damages to crops of farmers due to excessive rains and make arrangements for giving compensation to affected farmers immediately.
