CM Yogi lambasts ‘Gupkar gang’, asks Congress to come clear on ‘unholy alliance’

“The stand of Cong is not clear on Gupkar alliance as well as Jammu and Kashmir. ‘Congress Ka Haath , Algavvad ke Saath (Congress is seen standing with the separatist forces)’, CM Yogi took potshots at Congress

New Delhi: Coming down heavily on ‘Gupkar gang’, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday excoriated the coalition of J&K parties for its nefarious design, aimed at compromising the integrity and sovereignty of the country.

CM Yogi lashed out at Congress party for its association and ‘close links’ with such separatist forces supporting separatism and terrorism.

“The stand of the Congress is not clear on the Gupkar alliance as well as Jammu and Kashmir. ‘Congress Ka Haath , Algavvad ke Saath (Congress is seen standing with the separatist forces)’, UP CM said addressing a press conference.

Yogi called the Gupkar gang an association of ‘anti-national elements’ and said that it was adamant on derailing the democratic process in the valley.

Yogi Adityanath stated that the Congress party has always been focusing on the ideas of separatism.

“We are trying to connect the people of J&K with development through local body elections and the separatists are making all efforts to sabotage the process. They do not want the people of J&K to get associated with the process (of elections) and participate in development and this alliance will further the cause”, CM Yogi said.

“Time and again these people could be seen inviting China for its help (on article 370) and how the Congress leadership is tolerating this is surprising”, the CM said while commenting on the leaders of alliance comprised of National Conference, PDP, Awami National Conference, Communist party of India (M),and Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference.

Further attacking the Congress, CM Yogi said the party has shown ‘dubious’ and ‘dual character’ on Gupkar alliance and owed an explanation to the country.

“Congress indulged in ‘double talks’ saying one thing in Delhi and other in the valley. The Congress should clear its stand as it is seen joining hands with persons like Farooq Abdulla, who talks of taking help from the enemy country and Mahbooba Mufti who always speaks against the country,” he said.

Yogi alleged that Congress is playing with the sovereignty and the security of the country and the country wants to know as to why it is trying to create an obstacle in the development of J&K.
