Fight against Covid-19: Less than 20,000 daily new Corona cases in past 24 hours

A total of over 1.01 crore have been recovered from the contagious disease so far. The national recovery rate has improved to 96.52% while rate of daily infection also been falling below 20,000.

New Delhi: India is setting new milestones in its fight against Covid-19 pandemic. The nation moved one step ahead with over continuous surge in recoveries and drop in positive cases.

A total of over 1.01 crore have been recovered from the contagious disease so far. The national recovery rate has improved to 96.52% while rate of daily infection also been falling below 20,000.

A total of 16,946 cases were reported in past 24 hours while over 17,500 people successfully recovered from the deadly virus. The gap between the recovered patients and active cases in the country has further widened and the number of recovered patients stands at nearly 48 times the number of current active cases.

Active caseload now comprises of about 2.13 lakh people and stands at 2.03 per cent. Out of these, nearly 60% are under home isolation and have mild to very mild symptoms.

The number of countrywide fatalities recorded in 24 hours stood at 198. Fatalities falling below 200 mark in last few days is also yet another achievement.
