Gaana fires its employee Tanzila Anis over abhorrent tweet on Rinku Sharma murder
New Delhi: Soon after the brutal murder of Bajrang Dal activist Rinku Sharma in Delhi’s Mangolpuri area, Tanzila Anis, an employee of Gaana posted an abhorrent tweet.
Gaana, the music streaming platform, has now sacked its employee Tanzila Anis, a day after her disgusting comment on social media.
Tanzila Anas had tweeted, “Bajrang Dal Activist. That’s it, that’s the tweet.”
The tweet was utterly in bad taste and sought to justify the murder of youth from majority community.
In a statement posted on social media, Gaana said, “With regards to the social media posts by a recently joined employee of Gaana, these posts do not represent our values. She is no longer employed by the company.” The platform also said that it “respects all religions and communities of India.”
