‘Hum Modi se nahin darte’: Fuming Rahul on ED sealing Young Indian office; Netizens react

Rahul’s searing remarks comes on the back of ED action at the Herald House, where the agency sleuths sealed the offices of Young Indian.

New Delhi: A day after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials sealed the office of Congress-held Young Indian Ltd, the enraged Rahul Gandhi told mediapersons that Congress is not scared of PM Narendra Modi.

Quizzed by the reporters about sealing of Young Indian office at the Herald House in the capital, Rahul Gandhi accused the Modi government of indulging in ‘intimidation tactics’ and also asserted that this won’t ‘make any difference’ to him or the party.

The ED is probing alleged money laundering in the National Herald case, in which the ownership of multi-crore newspaper entity changed hands to Congress-held Young Indian for a meager sum of rupees.

“This is an attempt to intimidate. They think that by putting pressure, they can silence us. What Narendra Modi ji and Amit Shah ji are doing, with democracy, let them do it. We will stand against it, fight it,” Gandhi told reporters.


“My duty is to protect the nation, its democracy and maintain harmony. I will keep doing the same”, Gandhi added.

Also, heavy police deployment was made outside the residence of Sonia Gandhi last night. Congress party claimed that the police had put the party office under a siege, however , the police denied the allegations.

“Delhi police surrounded our HQs, and homes of INC President & ex-President.This is the worst form of vendetta politics. We will not be silenced! ” Jairam Ramesh had tweeted.
