New Delhi: With BJP President JP Nadda on two-day visit to Bengal, his convoy came under attack by ruffians who hurled stones at the vehicle. Kailash Vijayvargiya’s vehicle was also targeted in the attack.
Their vehicles were attaked while the two leaders were on their way to Diamond Harbour to meet party workers for the Bengal elections in 2021.
Vijayvargiya has shared a video showing a cracked windshield of the car he is travelling in. He was also injured in the attack.

Some goons assembled on the road and also tried to block the road to stop Nadda’s convoy from moving ahead. Late, stone-pelting stared.
However, police managed to escort the vehicles out of the area.
“I have been injured in this attack. The party president’s car was also attacked. We strongly condemn it. In the presence of police, goons attacked us. It felt as if we were not in our own country,” said Kailash Vijayvargiya.

Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh slammed Mamata government for utter breakdown of law and order and even insinuated that TMC goons were behind the attack.
Dilip Ghosh said, “On our way to Diamond Harbour, TMC supporters blocked the road and pelted Naddaji’s vehicle and other cars in the convoy with stones. This only shows the true colour of the TMC.”
