New Delhi: The brazen incidents of physical assault and stone-pelting on Covid-19 warriors continues to shock the nation. An intensely deplorable incident came to light today, when a mob attacked the policemen while they were trying to enforce ‘social distancing norms’ as outlined by the government.
In the video, the group of hooligans can be seen chasing away policemen and pelting stones at them. The policemen were forced to run for their lives. A group of people had assembled outside a house. When cops tried to persuade them to stay in homes, they retaliated with lathis inspite of finding reason with them.

NSA invoked against miscreants
After the incident, the police cracked down on the miscreants and arrested over 5 people including Imran, Sameer, Sallu Nasir. Those arrested have been charged with National Security Act (NSA).
Many of them are on the run and a manhunt has been launched to nab them.
Such incidents have sent alarm bells ringing as Corona cases are witnessing exponential rise in the city. As per reports, Indore alone accounts for 173 Corona+ cases, with 22 new cases in last 24 hours.
Health-workers chased, attacked by Indore goons
Not few days back, the miscreants hogged the national limelight after they attacked healthcare workers with the latter running for their lives.
In the video, two healthcare personnel in personal protective equipment (PPE) were seen running away from the mob who started pelting stones at them in Tat Patti Bakhal area of Indore. They were seen shouting abuses, throwing sticks and stones and chasing the doctors down the narrow lane.
