New Delhi: A day before the newly formed Bihar Legislative Assembly is expected to elect it’s new speaker, Senior Bihar BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi has alleged that jailed Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav is trying to poach National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MLAs in Bihar in a bid to topple the newly-elected Nitish Kumar government.

Meanwhile, reacting to the development, JDU leader Neeraj Kumar said that there is nothing else left to prove that Lalu Prasad Yadav is a ‘habitual criminal’.

Yadav was shifted to the residence of the director of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) hospital, where he had been admitted for months owing to poor health, to prevent exposure to the COVID-19 virus.

Yadav, who has been in prison since December 2017, was sentenced to seven years imprisonment in 2018 under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and seven years under the Prevention of Corruption Act in connection with the fodder scam case.
