Tejashwi-led grand alliance to topple Nitish govt by landslide margin, predicts Axis My India Exit Poll

According to Axis My India Exit poll, Mahagathbandhan is expected to win 139-161 seats, whereas Nitish Kumar-led NDA will get restricted to 69-91 setas. LJP is projected to win 3-5 seats, while AIMIM and RLSP may win 6-8 seats.

New Delhi: Tejashwi Yadav-led Mahagathbandhan is set to dislodge Nitish Kumar from power by winning Bihar elections with a decisive majority, Axis My India Exit poll predicted.

According to Axis My India Exit poll, Mahagathbandhan is expected to win 139-161 seats, whereas Nitish Kumar-led NDA will get restricted to 69-91 setas. LJP is projected to win 3-5 seats, while AIMIM and RLSP may win 6-8 seats.

The huge mandate for RJD-Congress-Left alliance has been made possible because of strong anti-incumbency and unemployment against Nitish Kumar.

While chief Nitish Kumar led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is expected to get 61-91 seats, the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP, which decided to fly alone this assembly election, will get three to five seats and the remaining too may get a similar number of seats, Axis My India has projected.

Tejashwi Yadav-led Mahagathbandhan is likely to secure 44% vote share while NDA may get 39% vote share while LJP is seen grabbing 7%. Others are likely to bag 12% of total votes cast in recently concluded Bihar Assembly polls.

Nitish-led NDA preferred by those above 36 years of age

According to the exit poll by India Today-Axis My India, those above 36 years of age (45% and above) have mostly voted for the incumbent BJP-led NDA government.

47% of those between 26 years and 35 years voted for the opposition Mahagathbandhan and 36% have favoured the NDA, while only 7% have voted for the LJP, it predicted.

Chankaya predicts 55 seats for BJP-JD(U) alliance

Chanakya, another pollster has predicted major rout for Nitish-led NDA alliance in Bihar.

Today’s Chanakya predicts that the BJP-JDU will be limited to 55 while Mahagathbandhan will come to power with a decisive 180. Others are expected to get 8 seats.
