It is said to be the dream project of the tech-savvy Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Under his stewardship, state’s first data centre project has been built at a cost of Rs 5,000 crore by the Hirandani Group.

According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to launch it at an official ceremony after I-day celebrations, however there hasn’t been any confirmation yet.

The first data centre building has a 5,000 server rack capacity and has potential to provide 48 hours of IT power back up.

The cost of the project is Rs 5,000 crore and has been built by Hiranandani Group. Speaking about the ambitious project, the company’s co-founder Niranjan Hiranandani said that his company would be making investments to the tune of Rs 1,000 crore every year in the data centre business, over next 5 years.
