Yogi govt’s ‘Mission Rozgar’ goes on with full steam, UPPSC role commendable

The UP Public Service Commission made a big contribution in strengthening the health infrastructure by making recruitment in a time-bound, fair and speedy manner in health and medical education along with other departments.

New Delhi: Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh fulfilled its resolve by giving 4.5 lakh government jobs in the last five years. Yogi’s mission employment did not slow down even during the Covid 19 pandemic. As per the need of the time, the health infrastructure was strengthened by filling up the vacant posts of the health department.

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission played a major role in recruitment

The Public Service Commission made recruitments in the Health Department in expeditious manner so that the selected candidates can take up the responsibility of their assigned posts at the earliest. In this sequence, time bound action was taken ensuring the fairness, probity and transparency of the selection process in letter and spirit.

In this sequence, advertisement for the selection proceedings for 3620 posts of 15 disciplines of Allopathic Medical Officer (Category-2) was issued by the Commission on 28.05.2021, in which the last date for receipt of applications was June 28. Taking quick action , the commission started interviewing the candidates within a month of the last date. The interviews were completed for all the cadres in just about two and a half months.

The date of closing of the interview was 07.10.2021 but before that the results of Pediatrics / Anaesthetist were released on 18th August, 2021, before one month of the commencement of the interview. Not only this, the final result of all the candidates was declared on the within a month of the interviews.

In this way, 4062 candidates were interviewed for selection to 3620 posts of allopathic medical specialists like Pediatrician, Anesthetist, Physician, Pathologist etc. on priority basis. The UPPSC took just about four months to select 1237 specialists.

Selection on 4743 posts of staff nurse completed in 5 months

Apart from this, the results of about 82 posts of other cadres of medical department such as Statistician cum Lecturer, Assistant Professor Pathology, Community Medicine, Psychiatric and Anesthesia were released and Interview for 05 posts of Assistant Professor and 15 posts of Assistant Professor, Blood Bank has also been completed. The result of the said posts will be released this week, while the process of conducting interviews on the remaining posts of Assistant Professor is being taken as soon as possible.

Keeping in view the need of health services in the COVID pandemic, the Commission has further enhanced its dynamics by ensuring transparency, fairness.

Medical and Health Services U.P. Advertisement for 4743 posts of Staff Nurse / Sister (Grade-2) (Female and Male) was issued on July 16.0One month’s time was given for the application and written examination was conducted on October 3 in just one and a half months. The final selection result of the said posts in the following categories has been provisionally issued as follows

-50 male and 1627 female candidates selected against 2582 posts (50 male and 2532 female) of Medical and Health Department
– 90 male and 623 female candidates selected against 1235 posts (90 male and 1145 female) of Medical Education and Training Department
-46 male and 578 female candidates selected against 926 posts (46 male and 880 female)
-A total of 3014 candidates were selected in the above three categories.
-Due to not getting the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the commission, 1729 posts could not be filled.

UPPSC Chairman Sanjay Shrinet said that within about five months of the release of the advertisement, the process of selection on 4743 posts of Staff Nurse was completed transparently, which is an inspirational criterion in itself. He appreciated the commitment and determination of the Commission personnel and the work culture of the Commission for this, who contributed in the national interest to keep the health services strong even during the period of Covid 19 pandemic.

He said that the advertisement of remaining 448 vacancies of Staff Nurse (Male) would also be issued this month.
