Delhi police tell Mumbai police not to arrest Mohammed Shami for assaulting Kiwi batters, fans say “great humor”

New Delhi: India’s virtuoso pacer Mohammed Shami ripped through the Kiwi batting lineup and helped his side win the semi-final clash by 70 runs to make it to the finals of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

In his historical bowling spell against New Zealand, Shami breathed fire and claimed 7 crucial wickets of the black caps. His incredible bowling effort single-handedly dismantled the New Zealand team and kept the men in blue ahead in the game ever since he delivered the first ball of his spell.

Don’t arrest Mohhmed Shami

Taking to their Twitter (Now X) handle, the Delhi Police Department tagged Mumbai Police and wrote, ” Mubai Police, hope you do not book Md Shami 11 for tonight’s assault.”

Mumbai police, in respect to the hilarious tweet, said, “You missed pressing charges of stealing innumerable hearts Delhi Police and listing a couple of co-accused too.”

Later, the departments even provided a Disclaimer for those who might take their tweets seriously by penning. “Dear citizens, both the departments know the IPC thoroughly and trust you for a great sense of humor.”

Within minutes, the hilarious tweets exchanged between Delhi Police and Mumbai police over Mohammed Shami went viral amongst the fans who had also joined the conversation by giving their epic reactions.

One individual wrote, “Before you guys go after him, spare him till the 19th, for he has some major heist at hand to be concluded.”A second fan said, “He is not just an average cricketer he is a legend too and he proved this.”

Australia and South Africa to fight for World Cup final Ticket

Shami’s team India will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Australia and South Africa in the finals of the World Cup in Ahmadabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on 19th November.

On the other hand, the second semi-final will be played today in Kolkata’s Eden Garden stadium today from 2 PM onwards.
