New Delhi: India’s virtuoso pacer Mohammed Shami ripped through the Kiwi batting lineup and helped his side win the semi-final clash by 70 runs to make it to the finals of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
In his historical bowling spell against New Zealand, Shami breathed fire and claimed 7 crucial wickets of the black caps. His incredible bowling effort single-handedly dismantled the New Zealand team and kept the men in blue ahead in the game ever since he delivered the first ball of his spell.

Shami’s monumental performance against New Zealand not only earned him the title of player of the match but also made him the leading wicket-taker (26 Wickets) in the tournament, despite playing just 6 matches.

Shami’s team India will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Australia and South Africa in the finals of the World Cup in Ahmadabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on 19th November.
On the other hand, the second semi-final will be played today in Kolkata’s Eden Garden stadium today from 2 PM onwards.
